About
Why this exists
Race knowledge is already out there — it just lives in the wrong places. RACES RATED is a public catalog so athletes can compare upcoming events and leave notes the next person can actually find.
Forums bury the useful bits
Swim reports, bike wind, aid-station quirks, and heat warnings sit in long threads. Answers arrive days later, under a different title, and next year’s field starts the search over.
Hard to find, harder to follow
Facebook groups, race reports, and old race-week posts do not sort by course, city, or year. You cannot filter “ocean swim, rolling bike, cool weather” across a season of events.
A place to share the race, not the thread
This site keeps one card per race: date, city, course type, weather, and community ratings. Anyone can publish a review. Reviews stay with the race when the date rolls or a new edition is posted.
Review rules
Notes go up as soon as you publish. Honest low scores stay. We only take a review off a card when it breaks these rules — the row is hidden, not wiped from the calendar.
Allowed
- Swim, bike, run, weather, aid, hills, crowd, value
- Your account name on the note, if you choose to show it
- Tough 1-star course notes
- The year you actually raced
Not allowed
- Emails, phones, handles, or a name inside the note
- Links, ads, or spam
- Hate, harassment, or anything illegal
Use Report on a note if it breaks the rules. Contact details and abuse come down immediately. Spam or “fake” reports wait for the administrator. That desk is not public — one email and password, and the stats and review queue load only after that password is accepted.

Hosting, the calendar, and the shared review list take time and a small bill. If this helped you pick a race or pack a bag, a coffee pays for the next update.
